EL CLUB DE EMPRESAS DE TURISMO DE NEGOCIOS PRESENTS THE “HONORARY AMBASSADOR OF GIJÓN” ON ITS 15TH ANNIVERSARY

THIS SPECIAL DISTINCTION WILL BE PRESENTED AT THE 2016 “GIJÓN AMBASSADORS” GALA

This special distinction that recognises merits that go beyond the annual “Gijón Ambassador” distinction was granted by the Club de Empresas de Turismo de Negocios to Enrique Pérez Rodríguez, Dean of the College of Industrial Technical Engineers of the Principality of Asturias (COITIPA).

As Dean of COITIPA and President of the Association of Industrial Technical Engineers of the Principality of Asturias, since 1995, he has decisively committed to the defence of his profession and the role that industrial engineers play in the economy of Asturias. Within the framework of the FIDMA, for many years, he has organised the Meetings with Industrial Technical Engineers which, while they last, convert Gijón into the main forum of Industrial Technical Engineering in Spain.

In 2011, on the 10^th anniversary of the Club de Empresas de Turismo de Negocios, this distinction was presented for the first time to the former mayor of Gijón, Paz Fernandez Felgueroso for her commitment and support to promoting Gijón as a business tourism destination.
